Hi Sunny, without further information this will be difficult to resolve. A first step is mentioned in the following tech doc: https://support.ca.com/irj/portal/kbtech?docid=478222&searchID=TEC478222&fromKBResultsScreen=T 10-0002 Reason: Unable to read the 'URL' HTTP variable. Action: Check that the web browser and web server are HTTP 1.0-compliant. Can you give us a bit more details about your configuration? Is this application pool in classic or integrated mode? Do you use any customization? Did this ever work on this server? Which version of Siteminder is this and are you using the IIS specific web agent (if applicable for your version)? Can you verify that Siteminder the first filter in your list of ISAPI filters? The webagent has been integrated with IIS 7 and users are https://communities.ca.com/thread/110605407 getting SSO login page and in the policy server logs we are seeing users are getting authenticated but users are not getting application page. In stead they are getting Internal Server Error 500 with error code 10-0002. CA (siteminder) tells about this specific error to verify if the webserver is HTTP 1.0 compliant. We are not sure how can we check this and how can we make it HTTP 1.0 compliant. Can someone please help? We https://forums.iis.net/t/prev/1167398 are stuck. Thanks in advance!! Mulk Http 1.0 compliant Reply Rovastar 4717 Posts MVPModerator Re: How to make IIS 7 Http 1.0 Compliant Apr 04, 2011 08:16 PM|Rovastar|LINK Looking up the error it is Reason: Unable to read the 'URL' HTTP variable. so it cannot read the url headers. IIS can use http 1.0 but I cannot any reason to use this old technology. All browsers use http 1.1 and have done for the past 10 years. I suspect something else is going on here - does siteminder really have just use http1.0?! Use a packet sniffer like wireshark or netmon to see what is happening. Is it really sending out http1.0 packets. Also have a look at this msdn blog post about http 1.0 and 1.1 differences for a ceratin case you might get a better understanding there: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jaskis/archive/2008/12/09/iis-7-ip-address-revealed-on-redirection-requests-on-http-1-0-protocol.aspx ... But if possible, i would also want to have a look at the headers (and body, if any) or the request sent where this happens. This will tell us if something is wrong with the request (i have a feeling that the problem is not IIS, just something else somewhere). Kristofer Gafvert http://www.it-notebook.org ‹ Previous Th

But some time it displays "500: SERVER server error ERROR [AS - 00-0002] " in lower frame. but it is not consistant in showing this error so I could not trace down the source for this error. After few more trials in select box i get the proper display. Please anyone could help me out. Does that help ? Do you have error logs you can post or a sample URL that the frame is trying to get at ? is installed) did not receive a Host header in the request from the client. Few explanations: 1. Error 500 with code [10-0004] error means that the hostname cannot be resolved. A monitoring tool that is trying to contact SiteMinder or the server. The tool will prompt 10-0004 errors because they are not connecting via HTTP 1.0 or 1.1 protocols. The 10-0004 errors can be ignored in this case. 2. Seeing bunch of 10-0004 and 10-0003 errors. A security team was running the scanner server to check the external servers and so was generating tons of url requests for all web servers. For these web servers the siteminder agent is intercepting the requests as non HTTP1.0 complaint and gives 10-0004 errors. It does not affect any user. 3. A 10-0004 error means that the webserver did not receive a Host header in the request from the client. This usually occurs when you have some kind of health monitoring device that hits the webserver periodically to check if it is alive. Notice that every instance of this error likely occurs EXACTLY X seconds apart. Your company probably has some kind of monitor checking the website every X seconds. These devices often do not adhere to HTTP 1.1 spec, and so do not send down a Host header with the request. Customer has confirmed that they are running a hardware device that does health checking. There is no way to resolve this error from the SiteMinder software. This is due to the hardware device not meeting specifications. 4. F5 load balancer can verify that site is up (by getting a URL and validating page content) when the Siteminder Agent is OFF. When the agent is on, F5 cannot validate content of unprotected URI. F5 load balancers by default do not send a host header name, thus the webagent does not accept any connections that do not send this and will generate a 10-0004 in the webagent log. If you see these in the webagent log you can ask your F5 folks to configure the loadbalancer to send a HOSTHEADER name=value pair when pinging the webagent. The value can be anything. Intermediate applications/services can cause this error by not setting the correct host header in their requests.Typically a 10-0004 error is the result of a web crawler or indexing service hitting your web server which has an agent on it. These do not typically send a host header with their request and so the result is a 10-0004 error being logged. This does not mean you have a problem and I have not seen an instance when an end user ever got this error because most browsers send a host header with their requests. I reccomend you find out what is hitting this we server without using a browse
