a different location you will need to reconfigure and create a new .htaccess. Login to the back-end of your site, go to Components, Admin Tools, .htaccess Maker, then change the domain and directory names at the bottom of the page and finally click on Save & Create .htaccess. This is mandatory, every time you move your site to a different host, domain name, subdomain or directory. I can't log in to lỗi 500 internal server error joomla my site after I restored it to a new location This is a very common mistake with Joomla! 1.6/1.7 and later versions. What you probably not remember is that you modified the cookie setup parameters in your site's Global Configuration page. The thing is, if you modify the cookie domain name and/or path, it's very likely that you will no longer be able to log in to your site if the domain name, subdomain or directory changes - exactly what happens when you restore a site to anywhere except its original location! Luckily, the workaround is very simple. Please edit the configuration.php file in the root of your site and find the lines starting with public $cookie_domain and public $cookie_path. Modify them so that they read: public $cookie_domain = ''; public $cookie_path = ''; Save the file, clear your browser's cookies and cache, quit and restart your browser and try logging in to your site. You should be able to login without any problem now. Another thing that you should be aware of is that the same problem could be caused by your .htaccess file. It's always a good idea to at least temporarily rename .htaccess to something else (e.g. htaccess.bak) when you're trying to troubleshoot a login issue. A .

htaccess file - 500 Internal Server Error If you are not familiar with using htaccess, internal server error wordpress the instructions below will help you check that mod_rewrite is available on your server and then allow you to install an htaccess file containing joomla internal server error 500 the modifications described in this post. The instructions assume that if you already have an htaccess file in use on your site, it is the standard one supplied as part of the Joomla installation - if not you will need https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/prbasicts.html to make the modifications to the file yourself. You can download a zip file fromherecontaining the three htaccess files that are referred to in the instructions below. Before you start To install the file(s) you must use either an FTP client or your hosting control panel. DO NOT upload it using a Joomla extension. This is VERY important. if there are problems with your server processing the file you are likely to get a 500 (Internal Server Error) message displayed http://www.joomace.net/support/docs/acesef/faq/modifying-your-joomla-htaccess-file-500-internal-server-error in your browser when you test the site, in both Steps 1, 2 and 3. If you get such an error the solution is to either rename the file (e.g. from .htaccess to htaccess.txt) or to delete it. If you upload using a Joomla! extension you will be unable to do this once the 500 Error occurs. If you do not have FTP or control panel (cPanel) access to your website, DO NOT proceed with installation of the htaccess file(s). Seek assistance from your hosting company instead. If you have problems seeing the .htaccess files on your website or in the folders from the zip file, you may need to configure your FTP client's settings to allow you to view hidden files (on a Unix platform any file starting with a "." is treated as a hidden file). Step 1 - Is mod_rewrite enabled? If you are not already using an htaccess file on your site, the first step is to check whether your host has enabled mod_rewrite. There are some instructions on how to do thishere. We have provided a copy of an htaccess file that you can use to perform this test in the Step 1 folder of the zip file. If your site is located in a sub-domain you will need to follow the instructions in the file to modify it for use on a sub-domain. Step 2 - mod_rewrite is enabled, what next? Be
