Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content 08-12-2013 01:23 PM Ireformatted my ip 550 and have spent hours trying to load new firmware onto the phone with no success.After reformattingI onlyhave basic accessto the networking menu and no access to theGUI. I have read through the FAQ section and server error in application internet explorer spent hours reading posts and watched tutorials on google. I am using a TFTP sever to configure the phone and have successfully upgraded firmwareand configuredother polycon IP550's via TFTP server no problem only theonesI configured had not been reformatted. I have tried several versions of firmware with the same results and loaded both the boot rom and UC software into the same folder. The TFTP server is functioning and it does read the files until the error message pops up (application not present!) and (2345-125000-001.sip.ID is not compatible with this phone). I am assuming I am missing a critical file that needs to be in the TFTP server directorythat must be present on a phone that has been reformatted. Any help greatly appreciated.Here is some information from the phone.REV: 5.0.2.12692Error, application not present!2345-12500-001.sip.Id is not compatible with this phoneThe last combination I have tried was (BootRom_4_0_0_release_sig) & (spip_ssip_2_2_0_release.sig) Bothfolders extracted into the TFTP root folder.Thanks Again! I've been troubleshooting a 335 phone where it says "Unable to contact http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/Reformatted-IP-550-quot-error-application-not-present-quot/td-p/39964 Boot Server". After I entered in a static method and pointed the phone manually to a server it picked up the configuration and installed it.Now the phone is in a boot loop saying the application is not present.What do I do from here? Please provide some instructions step by step to verify if I have th right firmware and boot rom loaded on this phone. We have about 100 Polycom Ip phones that work great. We have currently 2 SoundStation IP 7000 phones that working fine. We just purchased another IP 7000, but the set up isn't going like it normally does. I recieve the following 2 errors:Image is not compatible with this phoneApplication Image Error 0x120I was told that the issue was probably the firmware and that I should go to polycom's support server error site and get the 3.3.6 firmware.My thoughts on this was to unzip the files and I guess throw them in the tftpboot folder. Before I did, I made a copy of the tftboot folder. Well I extracted the files into that folder and tested it with both the IP 7000 and my phone which is a Polycom SoundPoint IP 330 SIP. I rebooted both phones and it started to download a new Bootrom, which I thought was good. Then server error in I recieved the following 2 errors after that.Could no contact boot server, using existing configurationError, application is not present!I reloaded the tftpboot folder that I had copied and atleast go the IP 330 working again, but the IP 7000 is still throwing the above 2 errors.Any clues? I am relatively new to asterisk and this was my first attempt at trying to update the firmware on these phones, and I'm not even sure if that was the right way.
