Can't really say much based on the info given thus far (not that i'm blaming you or anything... it's just too hard to actually say what's wrong or how to fix it at this point). m 0 l zephyr89 23 December 2009 09:45:41 see, thats why im kinda screwed, cause there is no mini dump file being created, and the blue screen only stays for 1/4 of a second. crap. m 0 l Best solution The_Prophecy 23 December 2009 12:19:52 Next time you boot into Windows, hit F8 and select "Disable automatic restart on system failure". This will leave the error code on screen so you can write it down until you reboot the system

In my Event Viewer under http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/79526/event-viewer/ "system" I am getting these constant errors logged at about 12 per second with the big red X saying "Service Control Manager, ID 7001." It is happening whenever I am connected to the internet by e-mail or my browser, which is IE7. What in the world is going on?? No noticeable symptoms, except when it first started I was at Expedia.com and my browser service control (IE) started acting slow and weird. That was fixed when I re-started but the red error thingys are still logging 12 per second under "system" when on e-mail or the internet. Jimmy A, Jul 26, 2009 #1 Jimmy A Thread Starter Joined: Apr 18, 2004 Messages: 230 Also: First thing I did was check processes. I saw one I had never seen before. "dumprep.exe." and I ended the process in Windows Task Manager. Jimmy A, Jul 26, 2009 #3 Jimmy A Thread Starter Joined: Apr 18, 2004 Messages: 230 A week or 2 ago I went through "services" in msconfig and stopped a few things I thought I did not need. Turns out the one called "Telephony" is important and should stay on and I had stopped it thinking it had to do with telephony as in dial-up over a telephony line which I wouldn't need since I use a cable modem. There was no symptom that I noticed. Everything seemed to be working OK. But whenever I was connected to internet by e-mail or my browser I was packin' in these big red error messages in the "Event viewer ---system" thing. My PC just stops responding and I have to reboot. I have run eventvwr and the error is always due to Service Control Manager and the error codes are 7000 followed by 7001. When I click on the problem it refers me to microsoft but I am unable to rectify it. If anyone has come accross this or knows of a fix it would be appreciated. Thank you.
