Would appreciate some assistance from Sony support.Based on what I am observing on my end it looks like PSN internal infrastructure is blocking ip subset or ISP: able to browse internet and support forums, while not able to log into account from the laptop. VPN endpoint from the same city works fine (at least from laptop, can't check PS over this VPN) Report Message 2 of 4 (4,460 Views) Reply 1 Like lisikk_go First Son Registered: 01/12/2015 Offline 3 posts 01-13-2015 02:41 AM User Info lisikk_go ADD AS A FRIEND Re: Not able to connect to PSN from PS3 or PC [Edited] Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Jan 13, 2015 All right. I was having the same problem http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network-Support/Not-able-to-connect-to-PSN-from-PS3-or-PC-Fixed/td-p/44888530 and i decided to do what anyone would do with their computer when they have connection problem...reset the network settings.I did just that on the PS3. I did it and the problem was fixed. so once again:1) go to the PS3 settings2)reconfigure your internet connection3)GO PLAY WARHAWK AND ENJOY. All you have to do once it says there is a server error is try again about 30 seconds later, and it will work. So all these idiots come along and complain about the network error and they never tried to reconnect. In fact it seems that it's enough to simply go to 'test connection'. At least that worked for me. ;) SephirothsAngelMember Since: July 11, 2004Posts: 2679SephirothsAngelFollowForum Posts: 2679Followed by: 0Reviews: 2 Stacks: 0Forum Karmahere for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site About Us Learn more about Stack Overflow the company Business Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us Super http://superuser.com/questions/279690/error-streaming-movies-to-ps3-from-windows-7 User Questions Tags Users Badges Unanswered Ask Question _ Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. What format are the movies sign in failed in? What video codec is used? –ngen May 5 '11 at 19:21 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote The majority of the time this error comes up because the folder they're in isn't shared. Occasionally though it can be caused by windows media player losing sync with device. If the latter is the case you just need to resync it. An even less likely culprit is the firewall. Some people will tell you to turn it off but this is NOT necessary. Just check it make sure sharing is properly enabled. share|improve this answer answered May 5 '11 at 17:21 Blomkvist 2,1491918 How would I go about resyncing it? The new movies are in the same folder as the old movies and the old movies play fine....its just the new movies that don't. –Paul May 5 '11 at 17:24 Click on your library tab and then click on sync.you should then see an icon in the box that says "unknown device". Click on it and allow the connection. More troubling though is that the old movies STILL play. –Blomkvist May 5 '11 at 17:28 Where is the library tab? Is it on the computer or on the playstation? –Paul May 5 '11 at 18:11 It's in media player on your PC. –Blomkvist May 5 '11 at 18:13 I don't see the library tab in my media player. Maybe I have a different version? –Paul May 6 '11 at 2:04 add a comment| up
