And it has been working reliably for all

that time, even during extreme environmental conditions. We would like to reuse this circuit for an almost identical application. We actually have built several dozen prototypes and they work just fine. But we would like to understand the actual operating conditions, and make sure that we are not overloading something. The best way to do this is through simulation. Since this is an LT3433 buck-boost regulator, I used LTSpice. When I run it, however, I get a ltspice find node "Singular Matrix error on Node 006"....Node 006 is only the 330pF compensation cap to ground. Now, PLEASE NOTE: My question is only related to the LTSpice error message. The real circuit itself is working very well. EDIT: I had to upload the .ASC file as .TXT file, for the attachment manager to allow me to upload it. Last edited by schmitt trigger; 4th August 2015 at 19:34. I solved it by forcing an initial condition on that node voltage. So label that net "vc" and then add the statement ".ic V(vc)=0" and it works. 1 members found this post helpful. 4th August 2015,20:33 5th August 2015,04:24 #3 BradtheRad Super Moderator Join Date Apr 2011 Location Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Posts 10,317 Helped 2069 / 2069 Points 42,077 Level 50 Re: Singular Matrix error on LTSpice Besides setting an initial charge on the capacitor (per post #2)

I'm trying to add an optocoupler on/off dynamic gmin stepping failed switch to it (which will be an option.) When the opto is ON, the output should be OFF (which is controlled by turning off the standby supply reducing consumption to a few microamps), and vice-versa. However, LTspice is giving me odd errors: WARNING: Node N012 is floating. WARNING: Less than two connections to node NC_01. This node is used by S:U4:1. Okay, but doesn't that make it non-isolated? (I presume this is only a simulation bug/limitation?) retched said: ↑ That should do it. Post your asc file, as well as any non-standard models. Dec 5, 2009 5,201 312 Spice requires a ground reference. It checks to see if there is a ground in the schematic, but doesn't check to see if it is in the proper places. #5 Like Reply Nov 20, 2010 #6 mik3 Senior Member Feb 4, 2008 4,846 63 I am not sure if you can tell spice to use to different grounds. In reality it will work with two isolated grounds but here it needs to have ground every where to work. #6 Like Reply Nov 20, 2010 #7 SgtWookie Expert Jul 17, 2007 22,182 1,728 Tom66, I can't load that .asc file; my LTSpice doesn't like it one bit. If you connect the ground to the wire on the negative side of V1 the circuit simulates like a champ. 1 Kudo Message 2 of 10 (3,556 Views) Reply 1 Kudo Re: URGENT (PLEASE HELP) AC Analysis Matrix Singular Error freakcrazy Member 04-15-2010 03:50 PM Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report to a Moderator Hey RLC thank you for replying!!! I'm doing an electronic tic-tac-toe game, and I have the circuit working for just one position. I've put all that into a subcircuit and it's still working. But then I add the same circuit for a different position I get the whole "timestep too small" error and a whole lot of "singular matrix: check nodes adacin1:xu3.y#branch_1_0 and...". I've tried troubleshooting for a timestep error, but none of those adjustments help. It just seems strange to me that it works with one block, but add another one that's wired the same and it doesn't. I've attached the circuit, which includes both the subcircuits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.James Tic Tac Toe (4).zip 155 KB 0 Kudos Message 1 of 10 (8,995 Views) Reply 0 Kudos Re: singular matrix: check nodes... lacy Active Participant 01-24-2007 09:16 AM Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report to a Moderator I would try to help, but for some reason I can't get your file to open. I have the freware version of Multisim 9 and it should recongnize MS8 files, but it isn't doing so in this case. Maybe you could try positing it a different way (don't ask me how, cause I don't know). Kittmaster's Component Database http:
