I see. First off, let's make sure that a Word add-in isn't causing this error message to come up. Now, please go to Start, and type in regedit in the search field, and press ENTER. In the 'Registry Editor' window that comes up, navigate to the following registry key in the left panel: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Now, right-click on the 'Word' key accordingly and select 'Delete'. Close Registry Editor.Done that, re-open Word and let me know how you get on now.RegardsEdited by B.Rath on 11/22/2010 at 5:01 PM EST Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied5 years ago. Every time I try to open anything related to smart card one of these programs I get an error message saying "Failed to Initialize Properly (0xc0150004). I have been working on this trying to figure it out my self for 3 days now. So far what I have done is- -Tried to restore from another date. -Mcafees virus scan, AVG virus and anti-spyware Scan, Addware Scan, the smart card Regdefense scan, avast scan and Malwarebytes scan. None of these programs have found anything. I also did it in Safemode. -I have used Hijackthis and copied and pasted the log to Help2Go Detective and Hijackthis Analyzers and fixed 1 problem that Help2Go said needed fixing. -I have deleted the Microsoft .NET framework and reinstalled it. So right now I am at a lose and really need Help. Thank you for your time.
