Blackberryscrdriver.sys is a type of SYS file associated with BlackBerry Smart Card Reader developed by Research In Motion Limited for the Windows Operating http://forums.crackberry.com/general-blackberry-discussion-f2/bold-9000-4-6-error-communicating-smart-card-577507/ System. The latest known version of Blackberryscrdriver.sys is 1.5.1.10, which was produced for Windows XP. This SYS file carries a popularity rating of 1 stars and a security rating of "UNKNOWN". What Are SYS Files? SYS files such as blackberryscrdriver.sys are third-party (eg. Research In Motion Limited) device drivers or critical system files that come http://www.solvusoft.com/en/files/bsod-blue-screen-error/sys/windows/research-in-motion-limited/blackberry-smart-card-reader/blackberryscrdriver-sys/ as part of the Windows operating system. Most SYS files allow internal PC hardware or attached hardware, such as a printer, to communicate with third-party software programs (eg. web browsers, word processors, BlackBerry Smart Card Reader) and the operating system (eg. Windows XP).Other SYS files are critical system files called "kernel mode device drivers" which are used to power the Windows XP operating system. This week I was able to obtain a bluetooth smart card reader from RIM for testing puproses with the USAF. I'll tell you what, this thing is sweet. I was told it was 'a blackberry without smart card a screen or keyboard'. That description fits pretty well. It has a small monochrome screen on the back that shows status as well as an LED that flashes red, green or blue colors depending on what's going on. RIM gives you a link to download the smart card software. Downloaded it and installed it on an 8700 (also not AF approved yet). The 8700 found the reader instantly. I put smart card blackberry my Common Access Card (CAC) in the reader, went to options, certificates, wheel-clicked and loaded the certs from my CAC to the bb. Worked perfectly. Now I can digitally sign and encrypt email as well as recieve email that has been signed or encrypted. The reader is wrapped in AES encryption and meets all the FIPS standards. The reader software turns the password protection 'on' on the bb and prompts you for your CAC's PIN everytime you lock it or whatnot. It also has an option to lock when you pull out the CAC, and that worked seamlessly. We're still testing, but so far a great product for the DoD! Thought I'd post this....hadn't seen much (Bluetooth BlackBerry Smart Card Reader) yet about the smart card reader....maybe someone is interested.... __________________ 8800 att/cingluar For Sale w/2G MicroSD http://www.blackberryforums.com/buy-...-cingular.html Last edited by justin.culp : 06-24-2006 at 09:28 AM.
