Is the https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/63086/fastly-error-unknown-domain error only happening with this one website? If it is it would suggest that the website in question might be using Fastly for hosting. The way that open and fill works in 1Password is that when you click on the website field of an item in 1Password we pass the URL to OS X which passes the URL to your default browser. The URL has additional parameters added to it that we use to let the extension know that the URL is using open and fill and the extension should remove them before the URL is even loaded. It's hard to say what the issue might be here, how would you feel about sharing the URL here in our public forums? We'd be happy to go test and see if we can spot anything obvious but to answer your question, as far as I am aware we use nothing that goes by the name Fastly. Sign In or Register to comment.

My limited knowledge says the Registrar did a query smtp authentication for that domain and the DNS replied it had no authority over it. From what I have been told by the Registrar support, the domain needs to be registered within the DNS server before I can point my domain there. However, I know of certain public nameservers, such as those of PPC companies (e.g., ns1.sedoparking.com) that I can point any domain to, even though it isn't registered there. It's like the server will "accept" any incoming domain. 530 smtp authentication What I need to know is what exactly is happening at the Registrar and how can I make a DNS server accept any incoming domain without prior registering. Thank in advance. The server registered has to have zone data for the domain or you will not get functional dns records. The example you provided is a bad example for registering a name server at the registrar. The name server you mentioned replies back with an IP regardless if the domain exists or not. This can be done via dpi or more likely a wildcard statement of some sort. This is not considered functional in a way where anyone can point there parent records to these public servers and get free DNS hosting. Do you not have an authoritative name server? You can usually get these through the registrar if you need to. These SMTP codes always take place in pairs, which means that both of the servers will transmit SMTP codes, until either the conversation is successful, or fails. When troubleshooting dropped or failed SMTP conversations, there are two main types of codes used; 400 and 500 error codes. The first number in this code, generally indicates whether the MTA accepted the command or if the command was rejected. If you are trying to send an email to a Mimecast customer and receiving any of the error codes below, this should be escalated to the Mimecast Administrator of the intended recipient. Mimecast is only able to deal with the designated contacts for our customers. The values of interest for this article are:4xx: The server has encountered a temporary failure.
