Now that my ADSL line is fast enough to use ftp backup i want to remote backup my datas but i still have a big problem ! Backups never finish. Connection is closed on FTP socket error server and syncback still indicates step to go 6 scaning destination ! Syncback is running under W2003 server, i tried different ftp server such as filezilla server 0.9.x, now i use ServU 5 since i have seen that it work well with syncback but the problem remains. FTP server is running on WinXP pro. I looked at ftp server configuration to disable any timeout values but i doesn't change anything. Is there any configuration on xp pro that socket error 10053 makes connections close automatically ? Or maybe firewall configuration ( free zone alarm latest version installed on xp ) I would appreciate help. Thank's a lot by advance. Does that fix it? Top Guest Quote Postby Guest » Tue Feb 01, 2005 7:45 am Hi, unfortunetaly no. It doesn't change anything. I already tried that. I also downloaded version 3.2.7 and SE. It still does an error. With SE i have two cases. I can have a socket error 10053 and it can do the same that 3.2.6 or 3.2.7 that is stop scanning destination without telling anything. It appears it can connect, but cannot get the directory contents. This almost always indicates a firewall issue with an active (non-passive) connection being used. Also, try disabling your firewall (on both the client and server). If it works then it surely is a firewall issue. Top dlobel

I am getting a "Socket error 10053 software caused connection abort" when I assign FTPTransfertype = ftASCII If I change this to FtBinary I'm not getting this error but data not uploaded properly in this mode. I am getting this error only in application server (Production server) not in the development server (here I faced this issue only once in the FTPTransfertype = ftASCII assignment) I have changed the FTP connectivity mode to Passive but its not working.. Please help me on this. sockets delphi ftp share|improve this question asked Nov 30 '15 at 12:44 Uma Maheswari 1 1 A more precise description of the problem than "data not uploaded properly" would be helpful.
