The bandwidth manager installation package consists of two components. The first is a system service (also known as server). It should be installed socket error 10061 on a computer which you want to control. The second is just a GUI (also known as client). You should install the bandwidth manager service on the client PC(s) and the GUI on your own PC. Reply Quote Rick Re: connection refused #10061 on any IP address 10 February 2006, 01:43 Thanks, but I was hoping that there would be no need to install anything on the other pc, only on the one where I would be controlling from on the network, otherwise I'm sure there are a half dozen other apps out there that can acomplish the same or more if both client and server service is installed on both pc's. I want to be able to control the bandwith without on another pc withou installing anything or configuring anything on the other pc where the bandwith is been controlled. I could simply change registry settings on the other pc to control bandwith without even installing anything on any pc, therefor, there would no purpose for this application or any other.
