I got one table, which contains some data: Data | Value | Lang To Data column http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1JR40692 of this table, was added unique constraint. However, now application CAN contain many rows for the same date. So, I removed constraint, but, after reorganization of table, restart of server it still throws exceptions when I want to add more than one row with the same Data. Unfortunately I didn't create this table at first place, and I can't remove data from it :/ Anyone has any idea what's going on? Thanks for you time! java db2 constraints unique http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12074885/duplicatekeyexception-even-after-removing-unique-constraints share|improve this question asked Aug 22 '12 at 14:02 MicNeo 1491514 It would be very useful if you provide the platform and version of DB2 you're running, DDL for the table and the error message you get when you try to insert the row. –Ian Bjorhovde Aug 22 '12 at 15:27 Are you using any frameworks? At what action does it happen? Your question is pretty vaque at the monent. –Sir RotN Aug 22 '12 at 15:28 Sorry for that, I didn't thought this is important. Error message: com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.DuplicateKeyException: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-803, SQLSTATE=23505, SQLERRMC=1;WCSADMIN.XSALESREPORT, DRIVER=4.7.85. I'm using IBM WebSphere Commerce v7. But query I'm executing in console - if you want, I can also past exception from Java, but I'm pretty sure it is quite the same. –MicNeo Aug 23 '12 at 6:18 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted Okay, it looks like there was index on this column also. To check indexes: select * from SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES where TBNAME= 'TABLE_NAME'; To drop index: drop index INDEX_NAME; Now it works! :) Quite easy. share|improve this answer answered Aug 23 '12 at 8:00 MicNeo 1491514 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post

Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up DB2 SQL-Error: -803 when inserting into two related tables up vote 2 down vote favorite I have two tables which are created with this statements: CREATE TABLE Behandlungsvorgang ( patientId SMALLINT NOT NULL REFERENCES db2 sql error Patient(id), datum DATE NOT NULL, notizen VARCHAR(100), PRIMARY KEY (patientId, datum) ); CREATE TABLE behandelt ( arztLogin VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL REFERENCES Arzt(login), behandlungsDatum DATE NOT NULL, behandlungsPatientId SMALLINT NOT NULL, medikamntPzn SMALLINT NOT NULL REFERENCES Medikament(pzn), krankheitName VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL REFERENCES Krankheit(name), PRIMARY KEY (arztLogin, behandlungsDatum, behandlungsPatientId, medikamntPzn, krankheitName), FOREIGN KEY (behandlungsDatum, behandlungsPatientId) REFERENCES Behandlungsvorgang(datum, patientId) ); And I have a method which should insert data into this tables. It always inserts new data so before inserting into behandelt I have to insert into Behandlungsvorgang to fulfill the foreign key requirements. The method looks like this: public void add(TreatmentProcess tp) throws StoreException { try { PreparedStatement psBehandlungsvorgang = connection.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO Behandlungsvorgang (patientId, datum, notizen) VALUES (?, ?, ?)"); psBehandlungsvorgang.setInt(1, tp.getPatientId()); psBehandlungsvorgang.setDate(2, tp.getDate()); psBehandlungsvorgang.setString(3, tp.getNotes()); psBehandlungsvorgang.executeUpdate(); PreparedStatement psBehandelt = connection.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO behandelt (arztLogin, behandlungsDatum, behandlungsPatientId, medikamntPzn, krankheitName) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?)"); for (Drug drug : tp.getDrugs()) { psBehandelt.setString(1, tp.getDoctor()); psBehandelt.setDate(2, tp.getDate()); psBehandelt.setInt(3, tp.getPatientId()); psBehandelt.setInt(4, drug.getPzn()); psBehandelt.setString(5, tp.getDisease()); psBehandelt.
