The best thing to do in this case is to find the discrepancy and fix it. Did you record a sql server bill or check/cheque incorrectly? Is there an invoice or sales receipt that recorded incorrectly? If so, you may want to edit that transaction so your inventory amount is recorded properly. IMPORTANT: The preferred solution for this issue is to find the source of the discrepancy and fix it. However, if you can't find the error and you just want to sql server error close the books,then you must temporarily turn off Inventory tracking under Co mpany Settings. This lets you close the books.
