Me too! One of our clients is getting this error too. They have a PocketPC 2003 device syncing over a wifi connection on the WAN side. They use SBS 2003 with all service packs and Exchange 2003 with SP2. I've checked knowledge base article 842541. Indications are that this error occurs because the user may have a very full calendar and that it's supposed to have been fixed with Exchange 2003 SP2 - but my user has disiPhones could not access the Exchange server anymore and the Application Event log just filled with Event: 3005 exchange 2003 event id 3005 Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [uuuu.uuuu.local] User: [Administrator@suuu.com] HTTP status event id 3005 exchange 2013 code: [400]. It is a backup network so all backup https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/66a33f3a-d945-42e2-ac80-3e4244f9b258/activesync-error-from-application-log-event-id-3005?forum=exchangesvrmobilitylegacy traffic stays off the production network. I find these errors go away when I disable the NIC. I confirm that it only has an IP address and subnet mask assigned and it does not register itself with DNS.. Found the discussion below. One person mentioned changing the IP address the website uses https://jhtechservices.com/activesync-error-from-application-log-event-id-3005/ to "All Unassigned" http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrmobility/thread/66a33f3a-d945-42e2-ac80-3e4244f9b258 I try this in IIS Manager. Right-click "Default Website" choose Properties, Web Site Tab, Change IP Address to "All Unassigned". Everything now works fine. Share this:EmailPocketTweetLike this:Like Loading... Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly. This event appears for most iPhone or Android users that we have, save a few. Everyone is able to access their Exchange mailboxes and calendars without a hitch except for one user. They can only use their iPhone for mail.
