It doesn't show up in iTunes device list but is recognized by Windows. could not power on vm msg.vmk.status.vmk_no_space. current swap file size is 0 kb I've tried the 5 Rs, changed drive designation, restarted the service, rebooted. Done everything that I could not power on virtual machine: msg.vmk.status.vmk_no_space. current swap file size is 0 kb. can find to do. I've tried the Nano on another computer that works with my son's 60GB iPod and it doesn't recognize the sharedarea: unable to find 'testsharedareaptr' in shared_per_vm_vmx area. Nano either. One odd thing I've noticed is that the Nano says it has a 3.6 GB capacity but 0 KB is available. Since I've not successfully synched and nothing is on the Nano this is making me think that vmware create memory reservation the Nano has a memory problem. I ran the diagnostics in iTunes and as far as I can tell, nothing bad was reported.Should I be seeing 0 KB available on a brand new Nano? What to do next? Thanks! Thanks for responding, btabz. Yes, the Nano About > Settings is where it says I have 0 KB available. Does that make any sense at all to you? Does a brand new Nano that's never been synched always show 0KB available? I would assume that it should show 3.6GB available since that's the capacity. I've already visited the link and tried the various recommendations to no avail, but I welcome other suggestions. See if it lets you format the nano. After that, see if you can get it to restore.btabz Helpful (0)

Connect directly to your host or to your vCenter Server using the VMware Infrastructure/vSphere Client. Click the Configuration tab for the ESXi/ESX host. Click Virtual Machine Swapfile Location and click Edit. Specify the datastore where you want to store the virtual machine swap files. To complete the action the virtual machine will need to be powered off, then powered on. Ensure the swap file is located on the specified host datastore. share|improve this answer answered Jan 28 at 8:22 Mongrel 124112 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
