6 TLS Errors « on: April 22, 2009, 01:10:31 pm » I have a strange thing filezilla sftp server setup going on with my FTP server. Every one of my clients have no problem connecting to my FTP server using TLS. I need to keep https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=23388 TLS enforced due to security issues, however I have one client who has tried several FTP client software programs which return the same result. When I connect, the logs state:Response:220 FTP ready.Command:AUTH TLSResponse:234 AUTH TLS successfulStatus:Initializing TLS...Status:Verifying certificate...However my one client when they connect they see:Response:220 FTP ready.Command:AUTH TLSResponse:500 Syntax error, command unrecognized: https://forums.proftpd.org/smf/index.php?topic=3830.0 'AUTH TLS'Command:AUTH SSLResponse:500 Syntax error, command unrecognized: 'AUTH SSL'Error: Critical errorError: Could not connect to serverAnyone know what is going on here. It's like my server can't understand the AUTH TLS command. Logged hazed New user Posts: 6 Re: TLS Errors « Reply #2 on: April 24, 2009, 01:59:53 pm » The tls log shows:Apr 23 11:57:04 mod_tls/2.2.1[7853]: using default OpenSSL verification locations (see $SSL_CERT_DIR environment variable)That's all that shows up. Nothing in the proftpd.log or the xferlog.I am baffled. our proxy-server. For tests sake, i've installedfilezilla server on my desktop.I'm running a a hp-ux11.11 box, http://curl-users.cool.haxx.narkive.com/zHtZpOPh/problem-using-ftp-ssl-through-proxy using curl version 7.15.0 from thehp-ux software archive(eg. http://hpux.its.tudelft.nl/)Without the proxy, everything works fine.Even to strange ports, the eventual production must connect tosomething like 12345. For this test, I'm using 21.The connection setup works, but after the set-up of the session andissuing 'PASV', curl connects again - which results syntax error in this problem.Any ideas what could be the problem here?
