I've been having a lot of problems with my system crashing system error lately and have been searching like crazy trying to find a reason. I'm not the most technically sound person but through my reading I have managed to: -Check all of my memory physically and with memtest, as outlined in the sticky post. -Update my drivers to the best of my knowledge and ability. -Disabled my onboard soundcard and the other stuff that the sticky post said to do. From another thread I learned system error 1003 how to run event viewer and that's where I found out that this error the one I'm actually having. Before seeing the event viewer all I knew about my problem was what the blue screen said: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears... An I/O error may have occurred while the Registry was trying to read one of its files (caused by hardware or file system problems). This message might also appear due to a memory management error (more common in earlier versions of Windows NT). Go HERE and follow the instructions. If that doesn`t help. Zip 5 or 6 of your latest minidumps together and attach them here. Regards Howard   Mar 21, 2006 #2 dar TS Rookie Topic Starter Thanks for your reply.
