It will let you know the function windows system error 1067 of this service. Note: Please paste the description here and let me know the installed server role and application. Then you need to enter the following command in the Windows PowerShell: Get-Service | Where-Object {$_.displayname –like “Request Manager Service”} And you could manually start the server in the Windows PowerShell: Start-Service -DisplayName “Request Manager Service” -Verbose Then post back the output result here to get further analysis. System Error 1067 has ocurred. The process was terminated unexpectedly. These errors mean that your option file (by default `C:\my.cnf') contains an option that cannot be recognized by MySQL. You can verify that this is the case by trying to restart MySQL with the option file renamed to prevent the server from using it. (For example, rename `C:\my.cnf' to `C:\my_cnf.old'.) Once you have verified it, you need to identify which option is the culprit. Create a new `my.cnf' file and move parts of the old file to it (restarting the server after you move each part) until you determine which option causes server startup to fail. 0 LVL 32 Overall: Level 32 MySQL Server 9 Message Expert Comment by:ldbkutty2004-07-01 http://forums.devside.net/viewtopic.php?t=250&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15&sid=bf7ed52ece2cf766a582933f2a6fa26b 0 Message Author Comment by:KevPerkins2004-07-01 OK, I've tried t

In the last few days, updates stopped working. Currently, the Windows update service is stopped and will not start. It tries, but returns an error 1067. I have tried a number of KB system error 1067 fixes. The Eventvwr shows error x080080005 regarding the Update Server "Server execution failed." Nothing much else. SFC /SCANNOW reports no problems at all. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 outlines steps to potentially solve the problem, but has not solved it. Antivirus from MSE, MalwareBytes and Kaspersky have found no problems, although MSE is now a few days out of date, as I cannot update it due to this problem. I looked for any recently installed programs that might be badly behaving, but nothing has been installed within the last 30 days. I did choose to uninstall some much older programs of questionable value (odd brand PDF print tools). The computer had a problem where it thought software was "currently being installed", when in fact none was, but the use of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 seems to allow forcing me to deletions and actually fixed the Programs and Features component to allow uninstalling software just fine. However, the Windows Update from the control panel or from the Action Center still does not work because the update service will not start (as stated at the top of this post). I tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949104
