Apr 21, 2003 Jerold Schulman | Windows IT Pro EMAIL Tweet Comments 0 Advertisement When using the Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port Wizard, you receive: Error loading the TCP MIB library. When you press OK, you receive: http://windowsitpro.com/networking/jsi-tip-6607-add-standard-tcpip-printer-port-wizard-reports-error-loading-tcp-mib-library Specified port cannot be added. Operations could not be completed. When you press OK, the wizard terminates without adding a port. This behavior will occur if a 3rd party version of Wsnmp32.dll is located at %SystemRoot%. To resolve this issue: 1. Use Windows Explorer is select %SystemRoot%\Wsnmp32.dll. 2. Rename the file as Wsnmp32.Old_dll, so that it doesn't take precedence over the Microsoft supplied file at %SystemRoot%\System32\Wsnmp32.dll. I have hit this previously but the wsnmp32.dll was alive and well in \windows. After deleting this file the Standard TCP/IP Port wizard ran fine. Are there any dll files in your \windows directory? Are you using the Standard TCP/IP Port? -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[ln];kbhowto This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
