Solved cannot load wizard pages for standard tcp/ip port How do i fix this error? Error Loading the Tcp Mib library Posted on 2008-12-15 Wireless Networking Wireless Hardware 1 Verified Solution 2 Comments 3,255 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-12 I have read the solution on here and other web sites, but i don' t know what files to look for, how to look for them in the system folder, etc. Do i look in the System 32 folder or the system folder? How do i know which ones to delete/rename? I am trying to "add tcp/ip port" for a wireless printer that I just bought. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. 0 Question by:fawbbe01 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Best Solution bymattdavey117 The ones in %SystemRoot%/System32 are the defaults and should work. The problem generally occurs if another version is in %SystemRoot%. These override the defaults and can cause problems. If you rename the problem .dlls in %SystemRoot%, the ones in %SystemRoot%/System32 should get loaded. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/261302 So, do the following: * Check to see if any of the following problem DLL files are present in C:\WINDOWS: Wsnmp32.dll, Ntprint.dll, Tcpmib.dll, Mgmtapi.dll, or Snmpapi.dll * If any of them are present, rename them. * Make sure that files with those names are present in C:\WINDOWS\System32. If not, you will need to restore them from somewhere. * Reboot your computer. 0 Message Author Closing Comment by:fawbbe012008-12-15 Your description on what to do and where to look was the best i found anywhere; better than the Microsoft support site. I got everything to work perfectly now. I thank you for your assistance! 0 Write Comment First Name Please enter a first name Last Name Please enter a last name Email We will never share this with anyone. Comment Submit Your Comment By

When you press OK, you receive: Specified port cannot be added. Operations could not be completed. When you press OK, the wizard terminates without adding a port. This behavior will occur if a 3rd party version tcp mib library of Wsnmp32.dll is located at %SystemRoot%. To resolve this issue: 1. Use Windows Explorer is select %SystemRoot%\Wsnmp32.dll. 2. Rename the file as Wsnmp32.Old_dll, so that it doesn't take precedence over the Microsoft supplied file at %SystemRoot%\System32\Wsnmp32.dll.
