Installations and uniinstalls just hang without warnings or errors. I noticed it happening right around the beginning of the year and I thought it was related to a single program (Solidworks). But now I've noticed that I have issues with various other programs. It looks to me like an issue with MSI's So I've tried everything I can find on repairing MSI's - MS Fixit tool - sfc /scannow - reregistering msiexec and some other https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5e446d55-7353-4926-bda2-565f3b84555a/cannot-install-visio-msiinstaller-event-1039?forum=officesetupdeploy things I'm sure I'm forgetting I thought it was my AV at first (Vipre) but it happens on machines with our old AV (AVG) to, disabling them doesnt help either. Its happening on I would say most of the computers here, at least 15 that I've tried. I dont think anything changed with our GP either. Any ideas?
