The exact issue is when I try to go in and start the service manually I get "Error 1068: The dependancy service or group failed to start." I know I have the required services runnung except the Internet Connection Sharing service which http://www.sevenforums.com/system-security/226152-error-1068-when-starting-windows-firewall-service.html gives me the same error. I have tried reseting winsock and all that other stuff but it just dosn't work. Thanks in advance. Could not start the windows firewall/internet connection sharing (ICS) service on local computer Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified Sean Wright asked Jul 12, 2010 | Replies (29) Hi, I currently have an issue with the windows firewall in a stand alone XP Home SP3 PC. It is only running AVG 9 free and Ad-Aware 2008. I have scanned for threats and infections even ran combofix. No threats found. The PC cannot connect to the home network as there is no info displayed in the NIC status.
