How the remote procedure to solve it? vb6 webbrowser-control shdocvw share|improve this question asked May 9 '14 at 7:47 IT researcher 90853178 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote You should include more information when asking for help. More importantly, you should point exactly which lines are causing the error. That being said, it sounds to me that you are not checking the ready state of the download of html to Explorer. Interacting with a web page before the web page has been completely download will cause this symptom. If you are checking the ready state, the only other way I was able to produce the error was turning on protected mode in Internet Explorer. Some websites cause the error when Protected mode is on. share|improve this answer answered May 10 '14 at 11:38 Besticles 19417 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. 06:05 AMI have made some progress with the error I previously reported but have run into new muddy water. The application I am writing is based around an ACCESS2000 database with an option to compose a WORD2000 document from database contents. Nothing to exotic there I would have thought... The database resides on an XP Pro machine and is run from machines on a small private Windows network comprising XP Pro (1),XP Home(1), ME(2), W98(6). I have problems with two machines the XP home and one of the ME machines. On the ME machine where a form is populated. Forms(strForm).RecordSource=strSQL1 I get Run Time Error 459 Object or class does not support the set of events. On the XP Home: At the point in the module Set wrdApp=CreateObject("Word Application") I get Error 800706be Automation Error the remote procedure call failed. On all other machines including two XP Pro machines on another network all is OK. There are some Microsoft hints to problems for developers in earlier Visual Studio projects but how does this relate to the VB libraries I am using. I have done my best to check that all the libraries I have referenced are the same on the different machines and have used regsvr32 to unregister and re-register the libraries. Is there anything else I can do?
