(Sometimes they can't be deleted if system files on the PC still "have hold" of them. But a restart is usually enough to break the grip.) this topic #1 catahstrophic catahstrophic New Member Members 2 posts Posted 12 April 2010 - 12:48 PM Hi there! I've microsoft fix it searched all over the internet for a solution to my problem and have yet to find anything. Ok, I'll get started with my "simple" complaint. I cannot get iTunes to install or uninstall. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2550665?tstart=0 It's getting rather frustrating. I've used things like Sharepod, which I find great and easy, but I can't get videos onto my iPod and well...that's not cool. I'd like to use both Sharepod and then use iTunes to get my games onto my iPod. Alright here are my specs.I'm using a Sony Vaio VGN-C290 running Windows Vista Home Premium. 2.00 GB RAM. It only has 87 GB https://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?/topic/184174-cannot-install-or-uninstall-itunesquicktime/ of space, 18 which is free. But I use an external harddrive so most of my files are there. I have a 80GB iPod Classic. I don't know WHAT the deal is. I haven't used it in the longest time. And then one day I click it to use and it starts installing [I didn't even know it wasn't installed?] and then I get this error EVERY time [even when uninstalling]It goes-Preparing to install.-Please wait while Windows configures iTunes.-Then a popup window states "The folder path "Whitney Lynn" contains an invalid character." and I click OK-Then it says "Fatal error during installation."So there is no installing. There is not uninstalling to try to reinstall. It's like I need to wipe my computer clean of everything to start new, which I am not against, I have the time and my external harddrive has almost everything important anyway. I'd fear I'd loose my Trend Micro but if anyone knows the correct way to get something from my computers harddrive to my external harddrive [dragging and dropping is not correct I've learned years ago HAHA] then let me know! If I need to wipe everything off my computer, please tell me h
