Visual Studio Development > MSBuild Question 0 Sign in to vote Good day! Currently experiencing a problem that is most likely related to my inexperience with Visual Studio as a development platform. I just can't help but think that this is a simple fix.... I the specified store have a VS 2010 project that is using .NET Framework 4 and MS SQL Server 2008. For debugging purposes, the project references SQL CE. From reading forum threads and various Microsoft articles, it seems that there is a coupling between the App.config file and the .edmx file generated as a result of building an Entity Framework. In my project, I have two frameworks. One uses MS SQL Server 2008 for the release. The other uses SQL CE for debug. As a result, I should/would need two different App.config files to handle the different build scenarios, and I would expect that I would have to switch these two configuration files depending on which build scenario I was using - building for release or building for debug. I would also expect that this would be something that VS would support, but I'll be darned if I can find it. Here are snippets from the App.config files. The first is for SQL CE.
