Artemis infections - Help Please Discussion in 'Malware Removal' started by Gillimot, Jul 19, 2010. Gillimot Private E-2 Hiya Please go gentle http://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/artemis-infections-help-please.219428/ with me, this is my first post and I have no real clue as to what you have just had me do with the READ & RUN ME FIRST thingy. My computer has recently started running extremely slowly, things on the internet are taking forever to open. We have McAfee Internet Security and it runs scans regularly, however it has started picking the specified up Artemis Trojans everyday or every other day, but only when we run the full scan as opposed to the quick scan. This week related, but unrequested pages are opening on the internet, and over the last 2 days whenever I restart the computer My Documents automatically opens as well. I did everything asked in the above document, however, here are the issues the specified module that I encountered. 1 After running mb.exe it prompted me to reboot and the I had the following message Error loading c:\WINDOWS\duicol.dll The specified module could not be found. 2 During combofix the computer asked to reboot, and then I had to restart combofix. 3 During the running of MGTools I had the message ProcessDll.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Service Application has generated an exception that could not be handled Process id=0x4da0 (19872) Thread id=0x4c90 (19600) The choices it then gave me were Terminate or Debug. I have reinstated the firewall and McAfee to come back online, but can turn them off again if necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please could it be idiot proof because as I say - none of this makes much sense to me!!!
