I have a Wiikey installed on my system and I use Sony DVD-R 16x to burn an ISO. Now I never had any problems with the media. I burned the Wiikey update 1.9b iso to DVD using Imgburn, the disc shows up on the wii, I select it and press reset to test flashing. When it get to 100% the Error message shows up saying that the test failed. https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiikey-1-9g-update-error.64281/ "ERROR: test failed! Check your connections and try again" Now I read that the update works with clone and legit wiikeys even though I believe my wiikey is legit since it came from a legit source. I haven't updated my wii to 3.0 as well and its a US wii. Anyhow I would appreciate the help. -Thanks deucezulu, Sep 4, 2007 #1 zubikhan Member Joined: Feb 24, 2006 Messages: 60 Likes Received: 0 http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/wiikey-update-1-9b-error-message.582499/ Trophy Points: 16 Im having the same problem mm zubikhan, Sep 8, 2007 #2 bass_hit Regular member Joined: Mar 26, 2007 Messages: 336 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 26 Try burning on Fuijifilm DVD-R at 1X-4X and try again. Try re-downloading the DVD ISO as well. bass_hit, Sep 8, 2007 #3 Wagz Regular member Joined: Jul 29, 2004 Messages: 184 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 26 I've heard some people saying in other forums that this is caused by a weak solder joint on pad #3. I don't have this problem though, so I can't confirm that. Still can't explain what causes it or how to reproduce. From my laptop to two deployments still fails just rechecked again, then from another laptop to both deployments works fine. Guess it's a case of "close not a bug", no
