Adobe Error 110
2014 6:48 AM My workflow uses FM10 and Acrobat Pro to create .pdfs for sending out to clients. Just had a 'phone call from someone saying he can't open the .pdfs any more, even though he's been using them for a while. Acrobat Pro X brings up the bookmarks list, but then displays the message "There was an error processing this page. There was a there was an error opening this document. there was a problem reading this document (109) problem reading this document (109)."Any idea where the problem lies and what to do about it? I suspect it may be file-corruption at the client's end, but I'd welcome confirmation before telling him so! 28778Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 3 replies 1. Re: "Error 109" in files returned by customer Bill@VT Jul 9, 2014 7:23 AM (in response to FieryPantone) Did you send these PDFs by e-mail? If so, did you check to be sure they were encoded? Sometimes e-mail clients see PDFs as text and they are not, they are binary. A few years ago there were also issues with Outlook treating PDFs incorrectly, even if properly sent. I don't remember the details on that one. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: "Error 109" in files returned by customer Rave Jul 9, 2014 7:39 AM (in response to FieryPantone) Hi Niels,Chances are, if you are seeing error 109 when opening a PDF file, the file is corrupt. If you downloaded the file, try downloading it again. If you created the file yourself, try creating it again from the original source. That may be al

reading this document (109) I received a .pdf I need to fill out and sign, but when I the document could not be saved. there was a problem reading this document (109) open the file I receive an error stating "There was a problem reading this document (109)". This error is preventing me from saving any changes I make to the document https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1518043 or exporting the document into a different format using Adoebe Export. I have to click "OK" on the error several times before it goes away. I am able to add a signature and add text to the form, but it will not let me print or save. Daemon Tate Voted Best Answer Edit Answer (for another 2 minutes) This error code https://answers.acrobatusers.com/There-problem-reading-document-109-q60898.aspx means that the document is somewhat messed up. Do you want to do a Save as… or does it work with Save (try that on a copy). Or does the error pop up already when the document is opened? When it pops up when the document is opened, try getting another copy of the document. When you can do a Save, but not a Save as…, it is kind of normal, ynd you can overcome it for Save as… by boing into the Acrobat/Reader Preferences and deactivate the "Save as… optimizes for fast web view" option. The reason for the error in this case is that when optimizeing for fast web view the internal structure of the document gets changed, but in your open version, the pointers are still set for the original version. So, when the document refreshes, the pointers point to wrong places.Hope this can help.Max Wyss. We the general public need a solution to this problem. If the file is pulled of a web server and the file is corrupt well that's not our problem, we still need to be able to pull the file edit as needed and save it. Saving it locally, renaming it still does not solve the problem. We need a solution, someone must have a workaround. It appears that some Crystal reports have been set up with fonts that are not available on my corporate PC. When ADOBE Reader see's this font, it can't apply and I get the message: There was a problem reading this doent (109). see solution below, hope this is helpful. We have been able to work on two reports APY1405 and APY1406 in a previous incident (654603001 which was in bundle #6). We found the reports used font Helvetica (PCL6) for some fi
