There Was An Error During Installation Sharepoint 2013

It had Bitdefender on it for a limited time. On expiration I went to put my trusty Avast free on and it keeps coming up, "there was an error while completing the setup process". Prior to install I add/removed there was an error during installation sharepoint 2013 prerequisites Bit. and then dl and ran the Bit. uninstaller in safe mode as described. Still got the error. I had/have the firewall turned off.
