'Opens EXCEL and saves as 9795 format ' first argument: source file; second argument: destination file Dim objArgs Dim objWorkBook Dim objExcel Set objArgs = WScript.Arguments Set objExcel = CreateObject("EXCEL.APPLICATION") 'objExcel.DisplayAlerts = https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/95451c39-200a-4c93-bffd-ecfda4454127/800a03ec-returned-when-executing-vbscript-using-excel?forum=exceldev false Set objWorkBook = objExcel.Workbooks.Open(objArgs(0)) 'objExcel.CheckCompatibility = False objExcel.DisplayAlerts = False objWorkBook.SaveAs objArgs(1),56 objWorkBook.Close True Set objWorkBook = Nothing Set objExcel = Nothing I am executing the same script through a 3rd party application which runs as a Windows Service under LocalSystem. When I execute it through that application it returns 800A03Ec telling me I do not have access to the file I wish to open. I set everyone with Full Control but it doesnt work. The application uses impersonation and I also set Full Control to the domain ID running the program. In task manager I see wscript and Excel are executed and running so it does not seem to be a problem with the 3rd party application. Any ideas?
