my desktop in which I was to export 312 photos to using the title for the filename. When I export completed with errors photos go to File > Export and set the option is starts running and then all of a sudden stop with the message "Unable to create /users/...". I have tried having it export

to the desktop and I still get he message. I have even created the folder it's to export to. No matter where I export to or how I do it it still only exports 45 of the 312 photos. If I have it name the file sequentially it did 174. I think this means that the error is being cause from iPhoto trying the export operation failed to create a file for the photo to rename the photos. We wanted to use the title so we can send these photos as they are photos of great grandparents etc.Anyone know how to resolve this issue?Thank you iPhoto '08, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Really it's iPhoto '09 Posted on Aug 10, 2012 9:04 AM I have this question too Close Q: iPhoto export error "Unable to create /users/..." Have you tried a diffrerent title? Can you successfully export using the original file name? If so a workaround would be to use a renaming application to post rename them. Good afternoon. I am trying to export my iPhoto pictures to an external http://www.mac-forums.com/showthread.php?t=205560 hard drive. However when I perform this function, it is giving me this error message: Unable to create volume/passport/... The external hard drive has over 200+ GB of remaining disk space; and the number of pictures being exported is 170 with an average size of 4MB per picture. Any suggestions of what is happening will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. If it is NTFS, OS X cannot write to it without the help of 3rd party drivers. Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu). ------ Links: Onyx | EasyFind | Apple Hardware Test | How to test your hard drive | The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Guide | Uninstall MacKeeper ------ Lifeisabeach - Mac-Forums Member of the Month June 2009, Feb 2012, and March 2013. Library of 30,000 images is currently on an NAS. Destination drive is formatted Mac OSX Extended (Journaled, Encrypted). Library has already been rebuilt. No change. PNGs have been deleted from library. No change. Tried batch re-titling every image in the library library, and exporting so that exported files were named according to title, followed iphoto export unable by a number--thus no two files would have the same name. No change. And some users want to know if there is an option in iPhoto to change the original video format when export from iPhoto, for instance, if the original video is .avi, does iPhoto offers options "export as MP4" or such like? If it does, users then can export video in a format that they can import to QuickTime or iMovie for playback and editing. For example, they can export AVI to iMovie MP4 format for editing. Below, we'll show you how to solve the problems mentioned above.
