I tried an old trick IBM told me a few years ago - Create an INBOXTEMP, move all the INBOX messages to it, replace the design with something like the Team Room Database, replace the design again with the mail template, move the documents from INBOXTEMP back to the INBOX...didn't fix it. I found a document from IBM that I thought was going to save me: https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21282611 It was the final part of the tip (Option B), also validated at http://www.bleedyellow.com/blogs/JohnJardin/entry/avoid_annoying_errors_in_mail_and_calendar?lang=en, that finally resolved my problem: 1. Open your Application in the Domino Designer. 2. In the Top Menu, click on Tools\Recompile All LotusScript Because I spent about 90 minutes trying to find a solution, I thought I'd share this here in hopes that someone else doesn't have to Google this error and have to dig far, like I did, to fi

Technote (troubleshooting) Problem When opening your mail file or a message in Lotus domino designer Notes, you receive one or more of the follow errors one or more times: "Duplicate PUBLIC name AUTOADJUSTNOTE in USE module CSEventClass" "Duplicate PUBLIC name CMEMOOBJECT in USE module CoreEmailClasses" "Duplicate PUBLIC name ACTION_VIEWSTATUS in USE module CSEventNotes" "Variable not declared: TIMEVALIDATEARGSEXT" Clicking OK multiple times eventually clears the error but if you repeat the http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllFlatWeb/5005e56a7a971f74852578d5005069e4?OpenDocument original step, the issue reoccurs. Cause These errors usually occur when one or more script libraries are either corrupt, missing, or based on an older version of the mail template. In errors that include the words, "USE module," the library name follows that text. Resolving the problem The recommended method to resolve this issue requires at least Lotus Domino Designer rights to the mail file and involves the following http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21239694 steps: 1. Open the mail file in the Domino Designer Client. 2. In the left pane, select Shared Code --> Script Libraries. 3. In the right pane, if the library has a checkmark for "No Refresh," then the issue can be resolved by selecting the library in the right pane. From the Design menu, choose Design Properties --> Design panel (T-square and right angle) --> uncheck the "Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify" property. 4. If the database does not have the "Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify" property enabled, then select the library and delete it. 5. From the File menu, choose Database --> Refresh Design. 6. Repeat Steps 2 - 5 for each library referenced in the errors. NOTE: Replacing the design of the database to another template design and then back to the original is not a suggested method for resolving these errors. This is because it has no effect on the most common cause of this issue (in which a library is prevented from being refreshed or replaced), and may result in the undesired deletion of design elements which do not have the "Prohibit design refresh or replace to modify" flag set. Select Script Libraries. 4. Select CSEventNotes and delete it. 5. Replace the design on the mail file. Option B: 1. Open the user's mail file in Domino Designer. 2. Select Tools. 3. Select Recompile All LotusScript. I was able to resolve the calendar problems I was encountering. One thing I noted is that there were a few objects whose design was ‘locked'. I had to delete all these, for everything to work well. By dpegen on August 25th, 2014 at 10:29 am I'm glad that this was of help to you. You are welcome and thanks for the thank-you note. Leave a Comment Name (re

I get "Type mismatch on external name: RECEIPT" (where "Receipt" is one of the types in my script library). I have tried: - editing and resaving the form - editing and resaving the library - Project > Clean, rebuilding everything - Shutting down and restarting Notes - Shutting down and restarting my computer Nothing has helped. Notes Help says that this means that a type has changed since the client of that type was compiled. I would have expected that rebuilding everything (including the form that has its Use statement) would solve it, but it doesn't. Any suggestions? lotus-notes lotusscript share|improve this question asked Jan 15 '14 at 20:25 sjcaged 330215 IMO this error happens when you try to use the class, not upon loading. You could try to "touch" the place where your code is used like button or form script. I have an impression that "recompile all lotusscript" sometimes does not really act on all pieces of code (or maybe something is being cached) –Normunds Kalnberzins Jan 16 '14 at 7:15 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote You could try: Open the database in the Designer client and select "Recompile all LotusScript" from the Tools menu. Copy the code out of the script library, delete it, then create a new script library and paste the code back in. share|improve this answer answered Jan 15 '14 at 20:55 Ken Pespisa 17.2k23856 I actually tri
