Also, I can now access $_SERVER['UNIQUE_ID'] via PHP through the $_SERVER superglobals array. My question is, how can I make PHP log UNIQUE_ID for every log entry? It seems I can control it with my custom log entries, but I also want UNIQUE_ID logged for fatals where php cannot compile the code etc. Thanks. apache-2.2 php share|improve this question asked Sep 29 '11 at 17:34 Mike Purcell 68221840 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted I use Zend_Log to log messages to error_log directive, so all I did was create a child class and override _log() method. In my method I check for UNIQUE_ID in $_SERVER global and if present, prepend message with it. share|improve this answer answered Oct 12 '11 at 23:17 Mike Purcell 68221840 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. I http://serverfault.com/questions/316931/what-is-the-best-practice-for-adding-apache-mod-unique-id-to-php-error-logs am running apache on my laptop under linux, so that when I'm away from my desktop I can still work with php and mySql. Everything works great. There is nothing wrong with the syntax of the httpd.conf; apachectl configtest returns OK. However, there is one cafe that I go to where apache will not start. I'll go down the street to the next ap and apache will start without issue, but at this one cafe apache won't start. Any http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8161011/apache-wont-start help will be appreciated. I'm trying to start Apache using any of the following: Code: /etc/init.d/apache2 start /etc/init.d/apache2
tried several ways to get MAMP PRO to work for me. The main issue is that Apache keeps conking out, not sure why. Apache starts when i don't have any servers other than local. But when i start to create new servers Apache won't run. Here is my setup per screen shots: shot 1: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-1.png shot 2: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-2.png shot 3: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-3.png shot 4: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-4.png I've googled, but all i've been able to find is how to start a new server, which i know how to do when MP starts normally. What i don't know how to do is troubleshoot MP when it Apache doesn't start. Really need to work locally for a new WP build and would love to get this up and running. If anyone has had this same issue, can spot my error, or has other ways to fix the issue and cares to share, that would rule! My hunch, and it's a very noob hunch, is that Apache on MAC is running and it's conflicting with MP's apache, if that's even possible. I just re-call reading that somewhere. Thank you. MARS # August 16, 2013 at 3:09 pm Oh btw, as you can see in the screenshots that everything runs fine when i don't have a new server created. But after i create one here's the message it gives me: shot 5: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-5.png shot 6 error: http://kualitydesign.com/css-tricks/mamp-6.png thanks. __ # August 16, 2013 at 6:40 pm This reply has been reported for inappropriate content. Did you check your logs as that last error suggested? MARS # August 19, 2013 at 9:53 pm Sorry for posting the entire apache error log but i'm not sure what's relevant and what isn't. This is what the error log posts: [Fri Aug 16 15:04:58 2013] [alert] (EAI 8)nodename nor servname provided, or not know
