Make sure it lists jpg and tiff. I'd like to batch convert multiple jpeg files in 1 folder into a single pdf file with 1 page for each picture. Here is what I do:1. I http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?t=20383 change the directory in terminal so that I am in the same directory as the jpg files. 2. I type the following: convert *.jpg test.pdfthis is what comes up:convert: unable to open image `*.jpg': @ error/blob.c/OpenBlob/2498.convert: missing an image filename `test.pdf' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/2970.I'm at a loss for why this doesn't work. I thought that it might have something to do with the file system that I was using as the file I was working in https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=70483 was a shared file between windows/linux and is FAT32. So I moved the pictures to my home folder which is ext4 and attempted again with the same result.I am able to convert 1 file at a time using the following script:convert image001.jpg test.pdfThis works perfectly fine, so I'm at a loss as to why I can't batch convert. If someone could help me that would be great! If you have problems maybe consider converting the jpg's to (say) tiff first.edit: missed that you want one per page - just drop the -page A4 switch Top travelinghowdy Level 1 Posts: 5 Joined: Mon Apr 11, 2011 3:19 pm Re: Imagemagick's Convert won't batch multiple jpg's to 1 pd Quote Postby travelinghowdy » Wed Apr 13, 2011 10:00 am Thanks for the reply,Unfortunately, I'm still getting exactly the same error. I think that the syntax I used was correct based on other posts that I have read. I don't think that this is

Your web server tries to write a file inside your home directory. Normally your home-directory is protected in such a way that no one except yourself can write files in there. Therefore your web server can not create the new file while you can when using the terminal.
