Symantec AV Corp v.9 versus Norton AV 2005 2. new XP install added SP2 then Symantec AV now Problem??? I have just installed Windows XP fresh on a system. Then I ran SP2. It came up with a message stating that no AV was found (which there would not be, because I had not installed it yet). I installed Symantec AV Corp. edition. after reboot. The Security Center still shows that I do not have AV installed. Should I chose to ignor and check the box not to let the Security Center manage my AV? 3.
