Admin User Admin Notifications STAR Tax & Accounting Home × What are the basic trouble shooting steps that I would need to take for receiving an error while opening a Microsoft prosystem fx engagement unable to open workpaper Excel document inside of Engagement? These steps are for troubleshooting issues that happen on all error in app _workbook activate unable to set the installed property of the addin class Microsoft Excel documents on the users Local Machine. If the error is a result of one excel document, then these steps will probably not resolve oracle smartview unable to set the installed property of the addin class the issue. (The ?:\ represents the drive where Windows is installed.) Verify under the Task Manager / Processes tab that there are no instances of excel.exe running. You would be looking for the Epace.xla (CCH INCORPORATED) specifically. If you ever receive an option to Always Trust, always check that (regardless of which add in it is for) and Enable every prompt (until they are no longer coming up) while looking to see if ours loaded. If you did see it load, then go back to Tools > Macros > Security > Trusted Publishers Tab, and recheck the option to trust all installed add ins and templates. Retry inside of Engagement to open the document. If you did not see the add in load, check in the Tools > Macros > Security > Trusted Publishers Tab, and verify that it is not listed. If it did not load and is not listed, you will need to check and adjust the following permissions. Click here for a document relating to permissions that should be added. Retry steps 6 - 8. If the add in loads, then retry inside of Engagement to open the document. If

I am not trying to run any code, but when I startup excel, I get this error, hit o.k. twice and then I can use Excel with no issues. Before when this happened I wiped off office down to the registry, but now it's back and I really don't want to go through that again. Any ideas? Thanks!
