Please try the steps as below: 1.Ran netstat -ano on the problem machine 2.For example, if youfind the following UDP 0.0.0.0:1026 *:* 19132 This was repeated from port 1026 till 5000. ( All the ephemeral ports has been used/exhausted) by the PID 19132 3. Used msinfo 32 find out which program PID 19132 belongs to Legato Backup Program which runs backup during night time. 4. Tried to kill the service . 5. Rebooted the box. Best Regards, Yan Li Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help. If ten years ago it was still common to see an entire company ignorereguserconfigerrors using just one server, these days that's no longer the case. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an hour to make sure that everything is ok and no "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. read more... https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/e922c51c-dd43-4817-91aa-6c15d37ebcb3/unable-to-obtain-terminal-server-user-configuration-error-access-is-denied?forum=winservergen Event ID: 1219 Source: Winlogon Source: Winlogon Type: Error Description:Logon rejected for

If the server has multiple nics then all of them must point to valid internal DNS servers that are authoritative for the Domain. (Check http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;323380for detailed DNs setup info for 2003). Also, you might want to try adding the registry entry HKey_Local_Machine\system\CurrentControlSet\control\terminal server. Add a Dword value to this key named IgnoreRegUserConfigErrors and give it a value of 1. #2 hcortez463 Total Posts : 1144 Scores: 95 Reward points : 26830 Joined: 4/8/2005 Status: offline RE: Unable to obtain Terminal Server User Configuration.
