I created a join between a layer (WellsLocation) and a other table (WellsSelect) in my geodatabase. I made https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/966741 a basic Definition Query in the layer WellsLocation properties. This query keep only record has value "1" in a field of WellsSelect table. So, when I want to select record in WellsLocation who are interserct a city (cityPolygon) with Select by location I get this error "An unexpected error occured in the Select by location command. General function failure (WellsLocation) Trop peu https://community-qa.esri.com/thread/7814 de parmètres. 1 attendu". My windows is in french that probably why the second part is in french. But, when I removed de SQL statement in Definition Query the selecton by location works well. Anyone knows why I can't use Select by location tool on un layer with a Definition Query ???OutcomesVisibility: Managing Data16 ViewsLast modified on Jun 20, 2014 3:43 PMTags:managing_dataContent tagged with managing_datageodatabase_&_arcsdeContent tagged with geodatabase_&_arcsdegdbContent tagged with gdbThis content has been marked as final. I have a line layer in a GDB that has 100 out of 17449 records selected. I am attempting to use the selected records from that line layer to select features in a polygon
Error Handling in custom tasks As with any code you write, you should consider error handling in your custom http://resources.esri.com/help/9.3/explorer/ErrorHandling.html tasks. You may wish to follow the recommendations below when implementing http://support.esri.com/content/known-issues your error handling logic in custom task projects, in order to best fit with the ArcGIS Explorer application framework. Note Note that sample custom task projects provided as part of the ArcGIS Explorer SDK generally do not have full error handling - this is unexpected error for two reasons; because they are for demonstration only and are not designed for commercial purposes, and to make the code more readable as extensive error handling code would obscure the purpose of the sample. TaskUI Control A .NET Forms ContainerControl, generally a UserControl, is used to provide the user interface for a TaskUI, unexpected error quitting via the TaskUI.GetWindow method. In this class, ensure that you have error handling for every event on your form which catches errors and deals appropriately with them (for example by disabling the task if it is unable to continue). You should never throw errors from this class; exceptions arising from events within the control class cannot be caught by the ArcGIS Explorer host application, and therefore may cause the application to break unexpectedly. Example This example demonstrates how you could add error handling to the GetImages sample, specifically the CustomTaskControl constructor; if an unrecoverable exception is caught early on when attempting to retrieve images from the E2 application, then the code cannot continue, and disables the functionality. C# Copy Code publicCustomTaskControl(CustomTaskUItaskUI)
{
try
{ //Setupafewvariables.
_taskUI=taskUI;
_e2app=taskUI.E2;
_e2Imgs=_e2app.ImageSet;
InitializeComponent();
//Add some images which can be removed.
AddNewImages();
//ShowalltheimagesintheImageSet.<
