Assuming they work in Word or other programs, like email... Close Excel. Start-Run and type: regedit and hit enter. Now, remember not to go in here without adult supervision. Browse to: hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\office\8.0\excel Right-click the Excel folder and rename it to OldExcel. Close the registry editor. Launch Excel. Work now? Other hyperlinks to tif, docx etc all work perfectly.Using excel on my laptop, also with Office 2010 / Win7 jpg hyperlink work perfectly, displaying them in IE9! Submitted: 4 years ago. Category:Programming Share this conversation Expert: John D replied4 years ago. Hi,I think the problem has to do with a wrong path to the image file rather than a problem with excel itself. Could you send me unexpected error has the excel file that you are having an issue with so I can add a hyperlink to a sample image and send you both files Ask Your Own Programming Question Customer: replied4 years ago. I can send it, but it's really simple as this is a test sheet, so it only has a single cell in it. I've tried mulitple jpg files, in the same folder, and others on the same drive, all have the same problem though....As I said the same test on my laptop works perfectly, so I'm really confused. What's the best way to send you the files? Expert: John D replied4 years ago. Ok go to http://www.wikisend.com/ and upload the file using the Browse button (no need to signup) then copy the "File ID" number (or the download link) that you will be given and paste it here in your reply. am attempting to put in a hyperlink to an internal web site that requires a log-in. When I click on the hyperlink, I receive "An Expected Error Has Occurred" The document is a guidebook that should have links to sites on the intranet. Not all will have access to the site, but should be able to get to the log-in page at least. RTT, Aug 6, 2006 #1 Advertisements Jezebel Guest Is the error coming from Word or from Internet Explorer? If from Word, what exactly is the field code you've used? Jezebel, Aug 6, 2006 #2 Advertisements RTT Guest Thanks, Jezebel, the error comes from Word in the form of a pop-up message/diaglog box. It has the blue bar across the top with "Microsoft Office Word" in it, a grey background with a yield sign and exclamation point in it. The exact wording in the message box is: "An Unexpected error has occurred." I tried changing the hyperlink to Yahoo.com just to see if the security might have something to do with it and I got the same message. Here is what I see in the text when I push Alt/F9 {HYPERLINK "http://www.yahoo.com"} "Jezebel" wrote: > Is the error coming from Word or from Internet Explorer? > > If from Word, what exactly is the field code you've used?
