Both xlsx file and jpg files are on the same drive. The links worked well with Windows Vista, but now I've changed to a Mac OSX, and keep getting this message of "unexpected error" when I try to open a hyperlink to a jpg file in Excel for Mac 2011. I use a foreign language (portuguese), so almost unexpected error has all the paths in the hyperlinks have words with accent, like for instance "ã, ç, à, á, ê, õ", and so on. This error only happens on the paths with accent, if the path has no accent the jpg files open normally... (although there's always first a warning about a possible virus in the jpg file to be opened, something I would also like to avoid...) Anyone knows how to fix this? Is this a problem with Excel for Mac, or an issue of the Mac itself?
