QB database manager on the server, verified security for the QBDataServiceUser (now with admin access)Verified all 5 users permissions, turned off firewalls on all workstations and the server, added the quickbooks folder to antivirus exceptions, tried completely disablingantivirus as well.I tried every fixing tool I can think of (there are NO .Net problems anywhere! The C++ runtimes are good)There are no hardware errors for any NIC on any machine. The error creating connection 0 in dbconnpool::init(). ethernet switch was rebooted as well. All other database applications (MS SQL) work just fine. All shares work just fine. No hardware events indicating any problems at all.Everything I've tried does not work and the event logs still show this error no matter what company file is opened. (The server is running Win 2008 R2 x64 SP1 fully patched, workstations are Win7 x64 SP2). In addition no software has been installed on any of these machines in several months. We run ESET (and real-time scanning exclusions were made for the server share). The network is gigabit ethernet & traffic is almost non-existent (no heavy traffic apps running & no traffic jams as per router logs) & the PCs are all Quad Core, 3.4Ghz, 8GB very high end boxes. There are no indications that anything BUT QB Enterprise 2015 is at fault! This happened after an automatic Quickbooks update 2 days ago (02/25/15). I v25.0d r9 (m=1066, l=335, c=249, v=0 (0)) have done this on multiple days.....rebuilt the file, and run 3 passes of that and then try to re verify. The verify still will not complete. when I look at the QBWin.log the https://community.intuit.com/questions/1103414-got-unexpected-error-5-in-call-to-netsharegetinfo-for-path only error I find is "LVL_ERROR--Got unexpected error 5 in call to NetShareGetInfo for path" I've tried to research this error message online, and don't see anything that helps me. You already need to call us for this issue and I think that you file needs to be uploaded to Data Services for repair. Can you assist in troubleshooting this? ctempelbellracin Comment View more No answers have been posted

desktops were a mix of XP and Vista and the server runs Windows XP, all of them in a workgroup. Everything worked fine for the last 4 months since we upgraded from 2007 to 2010. Last weekend we upgraded 2 of the desktops to run on Windows 7 Home Premium. Since then, one (and only one) of the new Win7 64bit is crashing from time to time closing Quickbooks with no previous alert or misbehaving.. It just crashes and disappears. The other Win7 desktop, same model and configuration runs fine, no problems at all. Vista workstation also do not show the issue.... Checking the event log I could find the following error messages that repeat themselves one each time when QB crashes. Any clues what may be happening? Any suggestions regarding what I should try to fix it?
