client runs QB Enterprise Solutions 16 from a terminal server. Â The QB files and DB manager are on a file quickbooks 2016 got unexpected error 5 in call to netsharegetinfo server that is also the Domain Controller. Â QB is running without any errors in QB itself, but is filling up the Event Logs on the terminal servers. Â I normally get multiple instances of both quickbooks failed to read ie version from registry errors in rapid succession. The two errors are:Â #1 -- Got unexpected error 5 in call to NetShareGetInfo for path \\server\file.QBWI've confirmed the QBdataserviceuser25/26 accounts on the server with the QB DB manager have full rights to that folder and all files. Â Since the machine running the DB manager is also a domain controller, there are no local administrators, just domain admins. Â We've made the QBdataserviceuser25/26 accounts domain admins just

to be safe (didn't appear to help). This error allegedly can appear if the network connection goes bad or sleeps between the user and the database files.  There should be no network issues as both servers are virtual machines on the same host.#2 -- An unexpected error has occured in "Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Contractor 16.0": V26.0D R3 (M=1066, L=335, C=249, V=0 (0))All the solutions I found for this error (C=249) said to just ignore it if QB still works, but do not explain what's happening.  This is a mission critical server that gets lots of heavy use, so if something is broken, I need to know.  The presence of the error also creates a barrier to getting assistance when we place support requests with Microsoft, Dell, or other software companies. Thanks,Chris Comment Asked by cdmoore1972 QuickBooks 2014 & Older, United States Options Edit Ask for details Archive hide info × Close Why do you want to report this? Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer In my review of Windows Event Reporting logging, "returning NULL QBWinInstanace Handle" Event ID 4 is artificially elevated. It simply indicates, "We confirmed if there is already an instance of the program running." http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/SLN41261 http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/SLN40997 Here's
Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end up with quite a few of them. If ten years ago it was still common to see an entire company using just an unexpected error has occurred in intuit quickbooks enterprise solutions: one server, these days that's no longer the case. New computers are added to the network an unexpected error has occured in "quickbooks" : returning null qbwininstance handle with the understanding that they will be taken care of by the admins. Keeping an eye on these servers is a tedious, time-consuming process. Even

The computer is unable to download anything off the internet, claiming that a virus scan failed. I tried to download something after disabling Norton so I don't think it's a firewall. This is the most recent Malwarebytes scan log that I have.LOG1-21-15.xml
 Naathim   Minion Staff Moderators 1,929 posts Location: Poland ID: 2  Posted January 22, 2015 Hello and welcome!I'm Radek and I'll try to help you with your issue. Before we start please note the following:Analysis and research take some time, also sometimes real life gets in the way, please be patient.Limit your internet access to posting here, some infections just wait to steal typed-in passwords.Don't run any scripts or tools on your own, unsupervised usage may cause more harm than good.Paste the logs in your posts, attachments make my work harder and more complicated.Stay with me to the end, the absence of symtoms doesn't mean that your machine is fully operational.Note that we may live in totally different time zones, what may cause some delays between answers.I can't foresee everything, so if anything unexpected happens, please stop and inform me!There are no silly questions.
