switch was rebooted as well. All other database applications (MS SQL) work just fine. All shares work just fine. No hardware events indicating any problems at all.Everything I've tried does not work and the event logs still show this error no matter what company file is opened. (The server is running Win 2008 R2 x64 SP1 fully patched, workstations are Win7 x64 SP2). In addition no software has been installed on any of these machines in several months. We run ESET (and real-time scanning exclusions were made for the server share). The network is gigabit ethernet & traffic is almost non-existent (no heavy traffic apps running & no traffic jams as per router logs) & the PCs are all Quad Core, 3.4Ghz, 8GB very high end boxes. There are no indications that anything BUT QB Enterprise 2015 is at fault! This happened after an automatic Quickbooks update 2 days ago (02/25/15).
