Recently AutoCAD 2011 running on a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop encountered this particular UAV when starting up. Other machines like Dell and HP have also reported the UAV in the AcVMTools.arx which is the AutoCAD View Manager Tools module used by AutoCAD's graphics engine system. Sometimes the error will look like the image below as seen in Civil 3D 2009: In all instances, the root cause is the machine's video display driver failing to handle the date that AutoCAD is sending it. In most all cases, upgrading to a later video driver version solves the problem. For most NVIDIA and ATI/AMD video displays, the later, recommended drivers can be located in Autodesk's Certified Hardware tool. Hi, I hope somebody can help me. Exception in acvmtools.arx ARX command Unhandled Exception C00000005 (access violation reading 0x0144) at address 697FF5BFh I have been getting the above error when i try to save or load up a new drawing on AutoCAD 2012. I can run the program but then the error appears. I have checked with the Autodesk online forum under autocad 2011 & AutoCAD 2012, where it would appear that there is a conflict between my graphics card driver and the software. Anyone know if this would be the case? Noone on the Autodesk forum can offer me a solution so im stuck and have nowhere to go with this. I am using a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2F6 with Windows 7 Professional Bit. With 6GB Ram Can you advise if you can help with this error as it is seriously effecting my ability to do my job. Thanks again Henry Reply With Q
