Their list of compatible phones includes "iPhone 2G, 3G/S, 4G".There is no such thing as an iPhone 4G. If they can't even get alpine unit error iphone that right, I doubt they were ready for iOS 5. You're probably going to have to wait for a firmware update for the head unit. Their recommendation is to wait for apple to provide another update. The Best Buy rep also said he was having problems with other Alpine head units with the iphone 4S with SW 5.1.I'm posting as a way to let Apple know there is a problem and to see if others out there are having similar issues with 5.1 and Alpine products.I will be contacting Alpine during normal office hours to talk with them. Tried numerous folder structures and still no look. Sold my iPod so I can just use USB and the alpine is absolutely shite with USB, if you search for a song the current song playing stops and it takes forever to load a track. Think ill be switching to pioneer, our lass has an entry level pioneer and the USB is lightning fast and works with every stick I've thrown at it
