Everything is fine with MBP at home. I can use Mac app store unknown error 4 App Store without any problem. But at office I guess it happened in last two weeks, I had a problem to sign in Mac App Store. I can navigate and look all apps in the Featured, Top Charts and Categories. But when I want to see Purchases, asks me to sign in. I enter my Apple ID and password correctly but it says "An unkown error has occured" and can't sign into Mac App Store. I've attached snapshot for this here. I searched forums and discussions on WEB and did many things like deleting files, ByHost, Network Pref etc. Everything I have seen on the WEB useful. But unfortunately couldn't pass that. I have other Apple products and my Apple ID works well at them also at WEB.Yesterday, this problematic MBP at work installed updates for iPhoto and OSX Mountain Lion but didn't let me sign in.Does anybody has a solution for that which is not written at discussion or at SERPs?Thanks for the useful help, will appreciate deeply. I type my Apple ID details at the login page. Then I am prompted to reconfirm the details for security. I am then told there has been an unknown problem. I am given the option to manage my Apple ID. When I click the button to do this, I am prompted to type in my login details. After I do this I have to delete the email address that is in the box and retype it otherwise I will go back http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/70121/i-cannot-get-past-an-unknown-problem-error-when-trying-to-login-to-discussions to the unknown error. Once I am at the manage page and have logged in, I load a seperate tab and try to visit the threads I visited earlier but I am prompted again to enter my username and password - which I can not get passed. I would have assumed that there was a possible malware issue on my Mac but the same happens on both my iPad and iPhone. If this error persists over a day or more and there isn't a public outage, you will need to contact support for help with your Apple ID. share|improve this answer answered Dec 18 '12 at 20:14 bmike♦ 115k38202437 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest N
