Have created movie in windows movie maker, seems to play fine there. when I try to burn to dvd, I get the unspecified error. But it doesn't happen all the time. If I delete the windows movie, then set it back up again, it occasionally will burn correctly. Ashampoo 6 Free is a very good burning program and you can't beat the price. Choose Custom install, otherwize you will get an uneeded toolbar, search engine change and home page reset. I add videos, all .wmv to start, and choose options, and say burn - it goes for about 1 to 2 % and quits. Says an error occured when burrning the DVD. It never got to actually even spinning the DVD, it was just converting stuff. Seems a simple thing. How can it not work? Thanks. What's more confusing is that they're WMV, a native Microsoft compression format. Have you used menus or anything that might crash the process? Did you try burning any other kind of media with it? If not, I certainly suggest you try it out.
