Console just fine and I can launch the virtual media applet.  I can add a new image.  But when I click the "mapped" checkbox idrac virtual media port it sits for several seconds and then just says "session is not valid, closing viewer" and the JNLP app closes and that is that. I need to be able to mount an ISO image to boot the machine to rescue media http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/SLN296648/en but the DRAC just errors out.   Anyone have any ideas? LOL... well if I just stare at the screen and do nothing, it doesn't hang.  Mapping the drive is the only function that that applet has other than loading the image.  The first bit works and it sits indefinitely without crashing and it exits successfully without crashing.  But

be using a DELL PowerEdge R610 which comes with iDRAC6. First login to the web interface were you normally should have something similar to the next screen capture. If you happen to use the older DRAC5 interface, then there are some slight differences. Basically, in the web interface there is a separate tab for accessing the remote console. And another one named "Media" for accessing and managing virtual media. This means that you have to launch the virtual media and virtual console separately. Apart from this there are no major differences for mapping remote virtual media using the iDRAC management interface.
