So your computer and the other peoples laptops may have different locale settings. You could try the methods in this artilce - http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;826418 If you're running Windows Vista or Server 2003/2008 you'll have shadow copy service running and can look at the Previous Versions tab on the file's properties and see if there's a recent version of that file. As preventive maintenance I'd also disable any add-ins running in Visio you don't need and store files locally. Scanning the hard disk for errors would be a good idea to.
