Posted on 2006-12-17 Visual Basic Classic 1 Verified Solution 20 Comments 3,655 Views Last Modified: 2010-10-22 Known good VB6 code which has compiled properly for years now will not compile. Throws Compile Error Error in Loading DLL and highlights the word Recordset from F.Data1.Recordset.MoveLast (Data 1 is a plain vanilla data control on form F.) Only change to PC was installation of some junk VB6 application which wrecked the registry. (Not malware - just poor code and installer). Removed that, went back to prior system restore point and restored the source code from backup. Should be the same - but no go. I'm guessing a DLL is not registered or is corrupt - but which one? Code runs absolutely perfectly in design mode - just refuses to compile. Reinstalled VB6 and SP6. Same story. Help!
